When I’m out traveling for an extended period of time, I need a bag that will hold all the gear I use to create my office away from the office. I’ve used Booq’s products for a number of my machines now and I’ve been really happy with every purchase I’ve made with them. They’re always made very well in my opinion and each bag seemed to be well thought out. Booq bags are slightly pricer than some of the competitors, but I think the quality justifies this difference.

I’ve been using the Macbook Air for a couple of months now. I decided to convert my Macbook Pro into a Windows Vista machine. I’ve been having wireless problems in Mac OS X, but for some reason I don’t have the same problems when running Vista on that machine. I use that machine for testing websites and running Windows only applications. For the most part the Macbook Air is plenty of machine for what I need to do and I figure in times where it can’t I can pack the Macbook Pro and the Macbook Air into my bag when I travel and still keep my bag under 10 pounds.

Since I had picked up the MacBook I needed a case to travel with. I had purchased some of the Booq sleeves before and was really happy with them. They looked professional and they were made well in my opinion. I was looking for something that would hold my computer as well as some of the accessories I would travel with such as discs, cables, an extra battery, Canon SD200, my iPod Nano and Shuffle, Treo 650, and Game Boy DS Lite. The Booq Folee XS was designed for the 12-inch PowerBook, but the MacBook is only slightly larger and it fits very well in the bag.

So I decided to finally upgrade my 12″ Apple Powerbook. I had been waiting on the Apple MacBook to come out and knew that it would be something that I would find as a good upgrade. It finally came out, but I waited a couple of weeks before picking it up. I guess I wanted to see others initial impressions before taking the plunge. For the most part the positive reactions outweighed the negative. I’ve had the unit for a little over a week now and I wanted to use the machine for a little while before writing a review for this site.
